A fence is the biggest "wall" on your property, and the first thing people see. When it fades, everything around it looks tired. When it's freshly done in a deep charcoal, suddenly the lawn looks greener and the house looks a decade newer. • Timber paling fences — rough-sawn pine and hardwood, sprayed so the coating soaks deep into the grain instead of sitting on top.
• Picket fences — brushed and cut in by hand where detail matters.
• Brick and rendered fence walls — cleaned, sealed and rolled in exterior-grade acrylic.
• Colorbond and metal fences — etch-primed and refinished in purpose-made metal coatings.

Spray-first, for a reason

Rough-sawn palings are thirsty and uneven. Brushing leaves thin patches on ridges and misses the gaps between boards. Rafael's airless spray rig drives paint into every edge, knot and gap at an even thickness, which is why sprayed fences hold their colour years longer. Where overspray would be a risk, around cars, pools, render or precious plants, he masks thoroughly or switches to brush and roller. Protection is part of the job.

Paint and colours

The go-to is Haymes Solashield, an Australian-made, 100% acrylic exterior paint built for our UV. Charcoals like Monument are the runaway Melbourne favourite, but Rafael can colour-match to your roof, windows or render, and he'll tell you honestly what will and won't look good.

One side or both?

Either. If it's a shared fence, painting both sides protects the timber better, and plenty of neighbours split the cost once they see the quote. Rafael's happy to have that chat over the fence for you.
